Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 8302 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX

I highly recommend getting a unit or two @ public storage on garth road. Mrs. Layla was the working manager when I went in on a Saturday, she showed me other available units, and she knew the prices for them without having to look them up. She has been the most helpful person I've ever met; she should be more than a manager. She was very friendly, kind, respectful, and supportive of the information I needed. Thank You so much.

I called with several questions about a storage unit, and she was so patient, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She didn’t just answer my questions — she went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident with everything. Miss Layla even helped me set up a reservation, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about helping people, and that absolutely came through in my conversation with her. I’m really hoping I get to work with Miss Layla when Monday comes because having someone like her there makes such a difference! She is truly an asset, and her kindness and exceptional customer service deserve to be recognized. Update #3 - I was contacted by another decision maker who was able to resolve my concerns. Helen was able to extend a goodwill adjustment to my account and everything has been resolved. Thank you Helen! Update #2 - I was contacted by a decision maker regarding the rent increase, and I thought I had everything worked out. I turned off autopay until the issue was resolved, but before I could turn it back on I was change a late fee, and they charged me the $15 I disputed (the difference between my previous rate and the new rate) after I told them I would contact the bank and ask them to resolve the dispute in favor of Public Storage. Very disappointed that what I thought was a reasonable resolution has devolved into another issue I have to deal with. To top it off, the only autopay method that they are allowing me to use is direct debit from a bank account. That’s not how you to treat a customer who had a valid concern yet was on autopay for 14 months. I can understand this approach for a chronic delinquent customer, but not for one whose credit score is in the top 1% of the national average. SMH. Update: Avoid using Public Storage. The pricing is predatory and is nothing more than a bait and switch. In a little over a year my rate increased by 100%, from $30 to $61/mo. Also, the staff is very quick to respond to positive reviews, while less than favorable reviews do not receive a response. This behavior only confirms that they are not genuinely concerned about the customer experience. This will be our last month renting a storage space from Public Storage. This is a new facility so it’s nice; however, I received a notification that the rent would increase from $30/mo to $46/mo. This is an increase of 51%, after only renting a space for four months. I would recommend that anyone considering renting a space at Public Storage be cautious regarding rate increases. There are less expensive alternatives in the area that will meet my storage needs.
