I'm extremely grateful for all the help Laurie had given me. I had just drove the whole night from Estero, FL to Dallas, TX. I had to make a last minute reservation after the one I had reserved before I left turned out to be too small for my needs. My step-mother had passed and my siblings and I packed up the entire 3 bedroom house and I brought most of it back to Texas. Needless to say, I was very tired and stressed out. The storage unit is really good until it’s not. I got a great price on my storage unit that I’ve had for about a year and they’ve increased the price 2 to 3 times since then. I work late nights and whenever I signed up, it was 24 hour access. now they’re charging an extra $30 For you to access your storage unit outside of the hours. If it is self storage, that should already be included and is absolutely ridiculous. Just know if you sign up your price will go up multiple times a year and they will start charging you for the littlest things even though they advertised otherwise.
UPDATE: laurie the building manager gave me a call almost immediately and helped me get taken care of. she helped my pricing go back down to the original price that I had when I booked the unit. thank you so much for helping me so quickly, absolutely amazing customer service!
My experience with Laurie was great! I was actually trying to rent a unit near me on East Buckingham. I was frustrated with the process since no one was there that day. Drove to the Bunker location and Laurie solved all my problems! Smooth process

A couple of weeks ago my wife and I pulled into the lot at ten minutes til closing and Laurie was very helpful...not only did they stay past their closing time but she took the time to find out what we really needed. I explained that we stage houses and had a Uhaul truck full of furniture and neither of my two existing units had enough space to put it all. Laurie found me a much larger unit that I could unload into and also consolidate one of my other two. Both Laurie and Tabitha's positive attituded and willingness to help were a very pleasant surprise in a world where service these days really doesn't mean much at all to many people. Had great experience at this location, all thanks to Marcus! When I arrived, I discovered that the elevators were down and my unit is on the 3rd floor and with the stairwells locked, I thought I was out of luck. Concerned, I went to the office to see if I was doing something wrong, and that’s when Marcus stepped in.
Marcus was incredibly apologetic for the inconvenience and immediately reassured me by explaining the steps he’d already taken to fix the issue. He even gave me a clear time window for when it should be resolved. But what really impressed me was how he went the extra mile — since getting into my unit was urgent, Marcus personally opened the stairwell for me so I could retrieve my belongings.
He was kind, polite, and understanding the entire time — and to top it off, he had a really nice smile that made the whole interaction even better. Marcus made my day, and his customer service was top-tier. Thank you, Marcus, for turning a stressful situation into a positive one!

I have been renting a unit here since April of 2021. When I first started renting, it was a different company but by the end of the summer Public Storage had taken over. The transition was smooth, my unit price remained the same at $99 (insurance included) for a while. Then, it was bumped up to $145. Fine, I get it. Prices have to fluctuate. Then it was bumped up to $179. Not so fine. My unit hadn't changed sizes, the amenities hadn't changed. The only thing that changed was having to enter a code to be able to access the elevator so tenants were only given access to their own floor, for safety reasons I'm assuming.
Today, June 10, 2024 I get a notice in the mail that they are raising my rent to TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE DOLLARS. $233 a month! Are you kidding me? I can barely afford the $180 I'm paying now, so I go online to start shopping around and lo and behold - public storage is renting my exact unit for $58-$71 online. Excuse me?! A fourth of price?? Get. Real.
I called up to the Bunker Hill location and JUDY was extremely helpful. Seriously, give this girl a raise!!!!!!!! She was understanding and compassionate and was able to get my rent to stay at $180 until the end of the year. (For 6 months).
Also to mention, they don't have an 10x8's listed on the website but mine is because I have a giant corner carved out of my storage unit because of a beam or something in the back left corner, so I'm not even getting a full 10x10 space but I'm being charged like I am. Public Storage - please do better. Take better care of your tenants that have been with you FOR YEARS and stop making it ridiculously expensive to rent a space from you. Yes, you are climate controlled, which I guess is considered a luxury, but there are plenty of other storage facilities in Sachse that are, where I could be paying a 4th of the price that I am paying with you. I am a loyal customer, but you're about to lose me.
Don't let the move in prices fool you. You'll be paying 3x as much soon, just you see.

Went to Public Storage today. I will be honest, I was not looking forward to it. It was late in the day and it was already so hot outside and I thought this place is going to be so hot today and the people usually at these places aren't very nice or they just usually hate their jobs. I have to say my family and I were very surprised when we went into this location and left very happy. First of all the location I am referring to was 5760 Bunker Hill Garland, Tx. The people here are very nice. To be specific Laurie & Judy that were the ones that helped us out today. These Two are The Nicest Ladies And you can tell they really just enjoy doing a good job. Second the inside of the place was so clean and everything was very easy to do. Paper work very quick and Laurie even walk is around the inside and gave us a tour of the facility and it was very pleasant. Walked us right to our unit and answered all our questions and gave us a great deal on a 10x10 unit with Climate Control. Most of these in door places have a terrible Musty smell to a terrible Odor but this place absolutely did not have that Problem at all. Everything was great and even saw how secure each unit was plus they have 24 Hr. Camera access and they keep it that way 7 days a week. I wished more place were this easy and secure. Thank you public Storage and Laurie & Judy!

We needed to move out of our unit late March but was billed for April due to an oversight. However, I spoke with Kaylie who oversees a few Public Storage locations and had a great experience getting it resolved through her efforts. Most impressive was that she followed through and told me exactly what she was doing to resolve and then called me several days later to confirm all was resolved in my account.
Kaylie made a real impact for the customer and that is something we need more of in the service industry. Thank you Kaylie!

Laurie listened to me as I vented about the man worker she did apologize for his behavior. She walked me through step by step on everything, some parts I didn't understand she took her time and walked me through. She kept a smile on her face, she explained to me about the damp check . Listen if anyone need to get a storage please go to bunker hill in Garland and ask for Ms. Laurie and you won't be disappointed. Well while I was waiting on Ms. Laurie to finish with the customer another worker came in. If I tell you he was so monotone I asked him to give me the price of each one and show me a 10×15 and a 10x20 I ask him did he have any 10x20 on the 1st floor he said I don't have any. Ms.. Laurie stepped in and said yes we do its #such and suchx#. By then I'm over him. Well I called on the 31st asking why it won't allow me to rent online the monotone worker stated its CANCELLED due to we call you and you didn't answer the phone I said did you leave a message and my move in is not until April 1st as I walking talking he cut me off and said it's back activated and try it again. I told him what do it mean when I get to the part saying international address he said I never heard that from anyone. Ok I get he didn't hear that from no one but the response I was looking was I never heard of it but let me call Ms
Laurie and see. Well I told him listen you seem like you are not willing to help you seem as if you trying to rush me off the phone. I then said where is Ms. Laurie cause I'm bout done with you he called her and said she will be back in on friday. I told him that I will wait on Ms. Laurie to return on friday and I will come and let her finish my rental. Listen I get it we all go through things, we might not feel our best at times. BUT ONE THING THIS WORKER should remember once you walk in the doors at public storage you leave everything else at home and give the customer 100% make the customer feel like at that time you talking to me nothing else matters but this customer. This worker needs coaching.

Manager Laurie rocks with customer service. She even spoke to my moving company regarding the size needed for my belongings. She maintains that property in a immaculate state.
